Excavator operator — Polk County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an excavator operator in Polk County, Oregon. The job is at a landfill site. Ideal candidate: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery Day-to-day duties: • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Check for underground cables and services before digging On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
