Argon welding operator • Arlington County, Virginia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Arlington County, Virginia. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces We offer $3,400 per month plus benefits.
