Immediate opening: we are hiring a wheel loader operator in Sedgwick County, Kansas. The job is in an open-cast mine. The role involves operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance Pay around $3,100 per month, based on your experience.
