Immediate opening: trowel-trade bricklayer (Florida)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Union County, Florida. You will work at a renovation and extension job. Requirements: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Your main tasks: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
