Now hiring: we are hiring a panel welder in Kendall County, Texas. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Requirements: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Day to day you will read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
