Tig welder wanted in Edgefield County

Now hiring: we are hiring a tig welder in Edgefield County, South Carolina. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. You will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator. You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight 6+ years on the tools preferred.
