Foundry worker wanted in Cass County

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Cass County, Michigan. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Your main tasks: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
