Immediate opening: GMAW welder (Wales)

Now hiring: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Sir Powys, Wales. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. You will maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions. Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
