Elevator service technician • Floyd County, Virginia

Join our team: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Floyd County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces Full-time, day shift.
