Argon welding operator wanted in Barton County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Barton County, Kansas. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. The role involves sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot $28 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
