Pressman — Woodbury County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pressman in Woodbury County, Iowa. The job is in a busy laundry. Your main tasks: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments Requirements: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings 1+ years on the tools preferred. $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
