You should have: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Your main tasks: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Full-time with occasional weekends.
