Port container crane operator — Benton County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Benton County, Iowa. Requirements: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts The role involves: • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
