Framing carpenter — Mellette County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a framing carpenter in Mellette County, South Dakota. You will work at a shopfitting company. Your main tasks: • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions Requirements: • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
