Garment machinist — Tazewell County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Tazewell County, Virginia. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Day-to-day duties: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
