Shakeout operator — Sevier County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Sevier County, Utah. Day-to-day duties: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
