Semi-automatic welder — Carroll County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Carroll County, Georgia. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Day to day you will change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding. You should have: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
