Join our team: we are hiring a carpenter in Lyon County, Kentucky. You should have: • Own basic hand tools • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height Your main tasks: • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
