Argon welding operator wanted in Boone County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Boone County, Kentucky. Your main tasks: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Full-time with occasional weekends. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
