Join our team: we are hiring a precision welder in Santa Cruz County, California. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. On the job you will handle: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Pay around $2,250 per project, based on your experience.
