Urgent requirement: we are hiring a punch press operator in Calhoun County, Iowa. What we are looking for: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading Day-to-day duties: • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
