Join our team: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in St. Helens, England. The job is on a new-build development. Day-to-day duties: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Meals and transport allowance provided.
