Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Lincoln County, Kansas. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height The role involves set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends.
