Gang bricklayer — Hays County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Hays County, Texas. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Your main tasks: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
