Great opportunity: we are hiring a cook in McDowell County, North Carolina. You will be based in a hotel kitchen. Day-to-day duties: • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service • Marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases • Follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down • Prepare the mise en place before each service Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
