Groundsman — Broome County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a groundsman in Broome County, New York. You will be based at a plant nursery. Your main tasks: • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers Ideal candidate: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $5,500 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Contact us to fix an interview.
