Restoration bricklayer — Gray County

Now hiring: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Gray County, Kansas. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. The role involves: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb What we are looking for: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding 6+ years on the tools preferred.
