Die-casting operator — North Lanarkshire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a die-casting operator in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. On a typical shift you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around £2,000 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
