Immediate opening: sewing machine operator (California)

Now hiring: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Stanislaus County, California. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. On a typical shift you will meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line 6+ years on the tools preferred.
