Immediate opening: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Bridgend county borough, Wales. The job is on a pipeline and trenching crew. The role involves: • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up What we are looking for: • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around £1,750 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
