System formwork carpenter — Monroe County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a system formwork carpenter in Monroe County, Mississippi. You will work at an infrastructure construction site. On the job you will handle: • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations Ideal candidate: • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
