Immediate opening: we are hiring a VMC operator in Page County, Virginia. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. What we are looking for: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Your main tasks: • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe Rotating shifts.
