Trowel-trade bricklayer — Frederick County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Frederick County, Maryland. You will be based on a commercial construction site. On the job you will handle: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Rotating shifts. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
