Die-casting operator • Big Stone County, Minnesota

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Big Stone County, Minnesota. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On the job you will handle: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle 3+ years on the tools preferred. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
