Shakeout operator — McCracken County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in McCracken County, Kentucky. On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
