Furnace operator — Iron County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Iron County, Utah. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. You will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 6+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $170 per day plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
