Head baker — Knox County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a head baker in Knox County, Missouri. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. You will shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; roll out short-crust and biscuit dough. Requirements: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
