Fusing press operator — Jefferson Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Your main tasks: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing Full-time, day shift.
