Argon welder — Jersey County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Jersey County, Illinois. Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection On the job you will handle: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks 2+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
