Concrete finisher — Jefferson County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a concrete finisher in Jefferson County, New York. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers On the job you will handle: • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength We offer $28 per hour plus benefits.
