Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Blackpool, England. The role involves set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate £1,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
