Pastry baker — Kerr County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pastry baker in Kerr County, Texas. You will work at an in-store supermarket bakery. Day to day you will pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe. Requirements: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,700 per month plus benefits. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
