Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Giles County, Virginia. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Day to day you will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
