Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Honolulu County, Hawaii. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day-to-day duties: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
