Foundry operative — Logan County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Logan County, Kentucky. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Day to day you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity.
