We are recruiting: we are hiring a truck driver in Marion County, Illinois. The job is at a haulage company. Your main tasks: • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock What we are looking for: • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements Full-time, day shift.
