Sewing machine operator — Aroostook County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Aroostook County, Maine. You will work on an export house sewing floor. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens On a typical shift you will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $3,600 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
