Mechanical press operator — Kankakee County

Join our team: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Kankakee County, Illinois. You will be based on the press shop floor. What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes Day to day you will watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; record output and downtime on the production sheet; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean.
