Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator technician in Johnson County, Kentucky. The job is in a machine room on the rooftop. Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring The role involves: • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches Full-time, day shift.
