Ladle pourer — Wheeler County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Wheeler County, Georgia. On the job you will handle: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 5+ years on the tools preferred.
